An MMORPG that is decades in the making
Uncharted Waters Origin is a paid trading sim and action RPG game developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. The game is built around a combination of related themes, like sailing and trading in the Age of Discovery while meeting with colorful characters, discovering treasures, uncovering secrets, and exploring new areas.
Uncharted Waters Origin is a ship simulator that commemorates three decades of the Uncharted Waters saga. This includes games like Uncharted Waters: Episode Atlantis. Not to be confused with the Uncharted series, consisting of adventure games like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, Uncharted Waters features real-world scenes, real-time trading, and naval battles.

This game is about maritime trade, leading in naval combat, and investing to achieve wealth. The story takes place throughout the 16th century, seeking to emulate the sea battles of those days but waged on grids of tiles with turn-based mechanics. Players can trade food, drinks, flowers, household items, weapons, and ammo. They can save their earnings or invest them.
This sea trade sim comes with a scaled-down (1/320) version of the real world, a great range of weather conditions, and 4K graphics. Expect to find a host of historic figures, landmarks, and relics. Prices change in real-time, the soundtrack features over 100 scores, and the casting includes veteran voice actors to heighten the immersion of the game.
What’s in the new patch update?
The new update features new story bits and characters to meet. You can now dive into Armand Jean du Plessis's All for One story, two new general mates, Vlad and Vattori, are available, along with two employee mates, Chitrali and Tama. The game's investment season is getting a bit of a stretch, and there's a fresh combat challenge in the Lighthouse of Ruins. Plus, if you're into scavenging, discoveries await in the Arctic.
Guild synthesis options are back, and there's a new quick synthesis feature to speed things up. You can now register more items in your collection, and mock battles have a blind feature for fairer play. Changing your title while sailing and clearer trade and ship stats displays have also been added. They've also fixed bugs, ranging from combat issues to UI glitches, and made tweaks to trade effects and smuggling prices.
Open world for big fishes
This open-world RPG has a lot of perks, such as anime-style art, ATB land combat, and great character customizations. Still, its pricey gacha, the inability to control NPC ships, and the inclusion of depreciating assets that become worthless are serious snags in Uncharted Waters Origin.
